Wish our little team luck today as a mixed nationality group go and speak to the Maire of Varen to ask if we can use the building, the old town hall as a two morning a week charity shop. All profits would go to benefit local people who are struggling including refugees. The association will be formed even if the Mayor says no and we will keep trying or find another location. But why would he say no if we are prepared to spend our time helping the poor of his village? He has nothing to lose.
Then this afternoon I have a couple of lads coming to help me empty the gite of boxes of donations, ready for the new arrivals.
We may have a quiet evening!!
