Take care driving to Spain

Violent winds gusting up to 120kph have marked the last 24 hours leading to speed restrictions and a ban on lorries overtaking each other on the A9, from Narbonne to the Spanish border.
In addition disruptions to  traffic at Perpignan airport are expected, though Meteo France has scaled down its warnings for today. Regular users of that route to the Costa Brava will know that it is notoriously windy, and drivers with high sided vehicles or camping cars and caravans are especially warned to take care.
